Work through the lesson

1. Define the purpose and user

Explain what your personal website is for and who its primary user will be. Make these decisions yourself before asking AI to change your site.

2. Choose your identity and content

Choose three identity words you want the site to communicate. Decide what content belongs on the website and what matters most to your user.

3. Describe the experience you want

You are the designer and project manager; AI is your developer. Write requirements in terms of what the visitor should see, understand or do rather than naming code you want to use.

4. Propose three features

Describe three features you might ask AI to build. Connect the features to your website’s purpose, user or important content.

5. Bring your decisions into one brief

Write a concise project brief containing your purpose, primary user, three identity words, important content, experience requirements and three feature ideas. Use this brief to decide which changes to keep when you develop your website.
