Build a clear digital poster
Choose a thumbnail, build a clear visual hierarchy and save an editable poster draft.
For this lesson
Make your identity easy to understand
Open your three thumbnail layouts. Choose the one that best communicates your three identity words.
Go to the steps ↓- 01
Choose and explain
Circle your strongest thumbnail. Write which identity words it communicates and why this arrangement is useful for your classmates.
- 02
Set up the poster
In PowerPoint, use A4 portrait. Align the edges of images and text with guides or a simple grid. Keep an editable copy.
- 03
Build the visual hierarchy
Place the main image or word first, then the headline, three identity words and supporting visuals. Visual hierarchy means the order in which the viewer notices things.
- 04
Record the decisions
Complete the handout: explain your chosen layout, focal point, colour and type choices. A focal point is the first thing someone notices.
- 05
Save the draft
Save the editable PowerPoint and export a PDF or image. Include a photo of the chosen thumbnail. Check that the identity words remain readable.
Complete the handout as you work
Completed handout, chosen thumbnail, editable poster file and a PDF or image export. Attach them together in the specific Toddle assignment.
The handout records your decisions. A finished-looking product by itself does not show that reasoning.
