| HANDOUT 6 | PERSONAL IDENTITY POSTER |
Write your specification and final plan
| TODAY’S ASSESSMENT CRITERION B | FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT Criterion B only: create clear success requirements, justify your chosen direction, and label a plan another person could follow. |
For this handout, your teacher records a score for Criterion B only. The other criteria are not being graded on this task.
Key words you need today
| WORD | WHAT IT MEANS |
| design specification | a testable checklist of what the final design must do |
| justification | a reason supported by evidence or requirements |
| labelled plan | a drawing with notes that explain important decisions |
Follow these steps
| 1 | Write five requirements. Each must be checkable. Avoid vague words such as ‘good’ or ‘nice’. Use clear statements such as ‘The three identity words can be read from two metres away.’ |
| 2 | Compare your three ideas. Look at the thumbnails. Choose one that best suits the audience and your brief. |
| 3 | Justify the choice. Explain how the chosen layout meets at least three requirements in your specification. |
| 4 | Draw the final plan. Make a labelled drawing of the poster. Show hierarchy, image placement, colours, fonts, and the position of each identity word. |
Record your thinking
| My poster must… ________________________________________________________________________________ |
| I chose Idea ___ because it meets these requirements… ________________________________________________________________________________ |
| On my final plan, the focal point is… and the viewer reads… first. ________________________________________________________________________________ |
Check before you upload

Toddle upload: Attach this completed handout plus the work named above to the same Toddle assignment. This is where your work is collected; do not make a separate portfolio upload.
